About KEYLARM
QWhat is KEYLARM?
KEYLARM is an ultra-compact, rechargeable personal safety alarm with a built-in LED light. It clips onto your keys, bag, or wristlet.
When activated, it emits a 130dB siren and flashing strobe designed to draw immediate attention. It charges via USB-C and is made to be carried every day.
QWhat makes KEYLARM different?
- Designed to be carried — compact, lightweight, and made to sit naturally on your keys.
- Rechargeable — USB-C charging. No disposable batteries.
- Dual activation — pull the pin or hold the button for 2 seconds.
- Built-in LED — steady light + strobe for everyday use.
- 130dB siren — loud enough to instantly draw attention.
A safety alarm only works if you actually carry it. That’s the whole point of KEYLARM.
QWho is KEYLARM for?
Anyone. Students, commuters, runners, travellers, shift workers, parents — if you carry keys, you can carry KEYLARM.
QIs KEYLARM an Australian brand?
Yes. KEYLARM is Australian owned and operated, based in Melbourne.
Sound & Performance
QHow loud is 130dB?
- Normal conversation — ~60dB
- Car horn at 1m — ~110dB
- KEYLARM — 130dB is louder than a home smoke alarm. Designed to get attention fast.>
Tip: During testing, hold it at arm’s length and away from ears.
QWill it go off accidentally?
The pin requires a firm, deliberate pull to activate and will not come loose on its own.. The button requires a press and hold so it will not trigger from an accidental tap or bump unless it is pressed down. KEYLARM is designed to sit securely on your keys or in your bag without going off. To turn off the alarm a simple quick single press of the button to turn off the alarm
QDoes it actually deter threats?
Threats rely on isolation and silence. A loud siren and flashing strobe can help in drawing away both by drawing attention instantly.
Safety note: KEYLARM is a deterrent and attention device. Always prioritise getting to safety and call 000 in an emergency.
QHow do I turn it off?
If you activated it with the button, a quick single click of the middle button stops the alarm immediately. If you activated it by pulling the pin, simply reinsert the pin firmly and it stops or just simply single press the middle button. Both methods turn it off instantly.
QHow far can it be heard?
In open environments, approximately 200–300 metres. In urban areas it varies, but it’s designed to be clearly heard across car parks and down a street.
QDoes it actually deter threats?
Threats rely on isolation and silence. A loud siren and flashing strobe remove both by drawing attention instantly.
Safety note: KEYLARM is a deterrent and attention device. Always prioritise getting to safety and call 000 in an emergency.
